About this sound

A quick Minion voice clip saying “Baple!” from the Despicable Me short Banana, used for goofy reactions, abrupt punchlines, and cartoon edits.

This brief voice clip captures a Minion blurting out “Baple!” in the Despicable Me short film Banana. The unusual pronunciation turns a simple word into a compact piece of cartoon comedy. At less than a second long, the sound arrives suddenly and ends before the joke can overstay its welcome. Its high-pitched delivery and playful nonsense fit visual gags, confused reactions, deliberately bad pronunciations, and edits featuring food or Minion imagery. The clip gives viewers a quick burst of recognizable, cheerful absurdity.

The clip comes from Banana, an animated Despicable Me short centered on the Minions and their chaotic pursuit of a banana. Their exaggerated speech, physical comedy, and distinctive voices made tiny vocal moments easy to reuse outside the original scene. This particular utterance circulates as a reaction sound because it is extremely short, instantly playful, and adaptable to edits about fruit, spelling, or confused speech. It remains useful wherever a creator wants a fast cartoon interruption without a lengthy setup.
