About this sound

An Auto-Tuned remix of the classic Roblox oof death sound, used in gaming edits, fail videos, and memes that need a quick melodic punch line.

This short clip transforms the familiar Roblox oof into a sharply pitched, Auto-Tuned vocal hit. The recognizable grunt gains a melodic quality while keeping the abrupt timing that made the original death sound memorable. At just over half a second, it lands quickly and leaves little room between the setup and joke. The processed pitch makes failures feel exaggerated rather than serious, giving gameplay mistakes, awkward falls, and sudden cuts a playful musical sting that viewers can recognize almost immediately.

The underlying oof became widely associated with Roblox because it played when characters died or reset in older versions of the game. The vocal originally appeared in the 2000 action game Messiah and was created by sound designer Joey Kuras. After years of use in gameplay videos and online jokes, Roblox removed and replaced the sound in 2022 following a licensing dispute. Auto-Tuned remixes preserve its recognizable delivery while turning the brief grunt into a more musical reaction for gaming memes and edited fail clips.
