About this sound

Age of Empires II English taunt 22 says, “Hey, quit touchin' me!” Players use the short voice clip for gaming edits, unwanted taps, and comic annoyance.

This brief Age of Empires II voice taunt features an irritated speaker snapping, “Hey, quit touchin' me!” The line is delivered quickly, with exaggerated annoyance that makes the reaction easy to understand without additional context. Lasting less than a second, it works as a sharp interruption rather than a long piece of dialogue. The playful performance gives awkward contact, repeated clicking, pestering, or boundary-crossing moments an immediate comic payoff. Its compressed delivery also suits fast gaming clips where a longer reaction would disrupt the pace.

This line comes from the English taunt set in Age of Empires II, the 1999 real-time strategy game. Numbered taunts let players trigger preset spoken messages during multiplayer communication, and taunt 22 delivers the “quit touchin' me” complaint. The game's long-running multiplayer community helped preserve these lines as recognizable pieces of gaming culture. Short recordings of the taunt later became useful outside matches, especially in videos about excessive clicking, unit selection, poking, or someone invading another person's space.
