About this sound

The iconic Aku Aku voice clip from Crash Bandicoot, used in edits, gaming memes and nostalgic videos to signal protection, power-ups or retro game chaos.

This sound is the familiar Aku Aku vocal cue associated with the floating mask from Crash Bandicoot. It is short, punchy and instantly recognisable to anyone who grew up with the series, with a mystical tribal-style voice that lands somewhere between a chant and a warning. In edits, it gives a scene an immediate retro game feeling and often makes a moment feel protected, powered up or comically dramatic. Because the clip is so brief and distinct, creators use it to add nostalgia without interrupting the pace of a video.

Aku Aku is the protective mask character from the Crash Bandicoot game series, first appearing in the original PlayStation era. His voice and related sound cues became memorable because players heard them constantly while collecting protection in fast platforming levels.
