About this sound

A short shouted “It’s ugly” reaction clip used in memes, edits and roast videos when something looks awkward, cursed or instantly embarrassing.

This sound is a quick, exaggerated voice reaction that blurts out “It’s ugly” in a loud, panicked tone. The drawn-out scream at the start gives it a dramatic, over-the-top feel, so it lands best as a visual punchline rather than simple commentary. Creators use it when a reveal is intentionally bad, weird-looking or hilariously unfortunate. Because the clip is only a couple of seconds long, it cuts fast, gets the joke across immediately and gives ugly, cursed or low-quality visuals a sharper comedic payoff.

This clip is mainly known online as a fast reaction sound for ugly reveals, cursed images and intentionally bad makeover edits. It spread through short meme videos, reposts and soundboard pages because the phrasing is instantly readable even without context. Its staying power comes from how quickly it sets a joke up: viewers hear the scream, then immediately understand that the visual is meant to look awful. It often appears alongside other blunt reaction sounds such as bruh or a buzzer for extra emphasis.
