About this sound

Content generated with AI assistance

A short retching and vomiting sound effect for gross-out comedy edits, prank videos and reaction clips where someone reacts to something truly disgusting.

This clip captures a loud, wet retching sequence that builds into a messy vomiting noise, complete with gagging, spluttering and a strained, almost cartoonish finish. It is short enough to drop into a single reaction shot without dragging, but graphic enough to make viewers wince, laugh or look away in the same moment. The exaggerated, bodily humour lands best when the audience already knows something revolting has just happened on screen, because the sound sells the disgust far more convincingly than a facial expression alone.

Vomiting and retching sounds have long been a staple of slapstick comedy, cartoons and prank content because they trigger an instant, physical reaction without needing any dialogue. Online, short clips like this one circulate on soundboards and in meme edits, where creators reuse them as a quick shorthand for disgust, nausea or a joke gone too far. Its brief length makes it easy to slot into reaction videos, TikTok-style edits and gaming clips, which is why the same gag continues to appear whenever something gross, rotten or badly cooked shows up on screen.
