About this sound

A short “noice” reaction clip, popularized by Brooklyn Nine-Nine, used in memes, edits and chats to celebrate a win with a goofy, approving tone.

This sound is a brief spoken “noice,” delivered as a playful version of “nice.” It has a smug, upbeat tone that instantly reads as approval, satisfaction or amused celebration. Because the line is short and punchy, it fits cleanly into reaction edits, gaming clips and chat memes without interrupting the moment. Viewers recognize it as a jokey way to underline a small success, a lucky break or an awkwardly enthusiastic response, which makes the clip feel both light and knowingly over-the-top.

The “noice” reaction is closely associated with Brooklyn Nine-Nine, where Jake Peralta, played by Andy Samberg, uses the exaggerated pronunciation as a recurring joke. Short clips of the line spread widely through meme compilations, reaction videos and social posts because the delivery is instantly recognizable and easy to drop into edits. It remains popular because it says approval in a funnier, more characterful way than a plain “nice,” especially in comedic reaction content.
