Yagoo says COVER Corp is a cutting edge 2D entertainment company in this Hololive clip fans use for ironic corporate rebrand and idol memes.

This is Yagoo, real name Motoaki Tanigo and CEO of COVER Corp, delivering his polished description of the company behind Hololive as a cutting edge 2D entertainment company. The delivery is straight, formal and corporate, which is exactly why fans find it funny. It contrasts sharply with the chaotic, idol and comedy image Hololive talents are known for online. Played on its own, the short line instantly signals a sudden rebrand, a serious press statement, or someone trying to sound professional about something deeply unserious and internet-native.

Motoaki Tanigo, nicknamed Yagoo by fans, founded COVER Corp, the company behind Hololive Production. Fans clipped his evolving pitch because in 2020 Hololive was described as an idol streamer group similar to AKB48, while by 2021 the wording had become a cutting edge 2D entertainment company. The contrast became a running joke in the VTuber community, used whenever Hololive acted less like a traditional idol agency and more like a tech driven entertainment brand pushing live 2D performers.

Часто задаваемые вопросы

What does Yagoo say in this sound?

Yagoo describes COVER Corp as a cutting edge 2D entertainment company. The short formal line is his updated pitch for Hololive, replacing the earlier description of the group as idol streamers similar to AKB48.

Who is Yagoo?

Yagoo is the fan nickname for Motoaki Tanigo, the CEO and founder of COVER Corp. He oversees Hololive Production and became a meme figure himself because fans often joke about his idol dreams versus the talents' chaotic behaviour.

Why is the cutting edge line funny to Hololive fans?

Fans use it ironically when Hololive looks corporate, professional or high tech despite its silly idol image. Dropping the serious line after a messy talent moment highlights the gap between the official brand pitch and the actual streams.
