Luis Rubiales calling Jenni Hermoso a crack and asking for a piquito, a viral Spanish football clip from the 2023 World Cup final used in memes.

The clip pairs two short Spanish phrases spoken by Luis Rubiales, first praising Jenni Hermoso as a crack and then asking, with a teasing, familiar tone, for a piquito. His voice is close, informal and upbeat, almost like a celebration caught on a microphone, which makes the familiar wording land awkwardly for many listeners today. Played on its own, it sounds playful at first, then uncomfortable, because the casual praise and the request sit so close together. That tension is exactly why editors reuse it, turning a brief moment of football triumph into a knowing, uneasy punchline.

The clip comes from the aftermath of Spain winning the 2023 Women's World Cup, when then federation president Luis Rubiales and star forward Jenni Hermoso became the centre of a major football controversy. The two phrases were shared and remixed online as short Spanish football memes, often appearing in edits about the tournament, the Spanish team and its aftermath. It remains in circulation because it compresses a widely remembered incident into a few seconds of recognisable speech, making it an easy shorthand in football commentary and satire.
