The deadpan "It ain't got no gas in it" quote from Sling Blade, used in memes and reaction edits when something fails, stops working or has no energy.

This clip features the flat, matter-of-fact line "It ain't got no gas in it," delivered in the distinctive voice from Sling Blade. The audio has a slow Southern drawl and a dry, unbothered tone that makes the joke land without any extra buildup. People use it as a reaction when a car will not start, a device dies, or a plan falls apart for a simple reason. Its charm comes from how seriously the obvious explanation is delivered, which makes the moment feel both blunt and unexpectedly funny.

This quote comes from the 1996 film Sling Blade, spoken by Karl Childers, played by Billy Bob Thornton. Over time, the line spread online as a reaction clip because its plain explanation fits so many failure moments. It became a recognizable meme in short edits, car jokes, and dead-battery posts, especially when the problem turns out to be simple or painfully obvious. The clip still works because the delivery is so distinct and understated.
