A five-second hummed motif that goes 'tum tu-tu tum tum', like a tiny dramatic jingle. Creators drop it under reveals, punchlines and quick video transitions.

This five-second clip is a short burst of vocalised rhythm: a voice chants 'tum tu-tu tum tum' like a miniature fanfare, each syllable landing with a bouncy, percussive thump. It sounds playful and slightly mischievous, somewhere between a hummed bassline and a drum fill tapped out on a table. Dropped into a video, it creates a beat of anticipation, the audio equivalent of a drumroll before a reveal. Viewers instinctively lean in, expecting a punchline, a plot twist or a satisfying payoff to land right on the final 'tum'.

The exact recording behind this clip is not documented, so it circulates as a piece of anonymous internet audio: a short vocalised riff that creators lift whenever they need a homemade musical sting. Its appeal is the drum-like rhythm of the syllables, which recalls the 'bateria tum dum tss' pattern used in punchy video edits. Because it is so short, it slots neatly into memes, edits and transition compilations, and it keeps resurfacing whenever a creator wants a reveal cue without reaching for an overused stock sound.
