The Charli D'Amelio TikTok dance clip built around the Laffy Taffy hook from D4L. Used for dance recreations, transitions and throwback meme edits.

This is a short music clip from the Laffy Taffy TikTok dance popularised by Charli D'Amelio, centred on the catchy 'girl, shake that laffy taffy' vocal hook over a bouncy snap beat. The excerpt is bright, repetitive and instantly recognisable, with the sung line looping in a way that feels made for movement. On screen it creates a playful, confident energy, turning an ordinary clip into a dance moment and signalling a lighthearted throwback to early TikTok trends and mid 2000s hip hop that viewers recognise before the beat even drops fully.

Laffy Taffy was released in 2005 by Atlanta hip hop group D4L and topped the Billboard Hot 100 in early 2006, built around a minimal snap beat and a candy themed hook. The 'shake that laffy taffy' line later found a second life on TikTok, where dance clips linked to Charli D'Amelio helped recirculate the chorus to a new audience. Short excerpts now travel as reusable dance audio, reaction music and nostalgic edits, separate from the full track.
