The clip has a rhythmic, sing-song delivery that sounds instantly recognizable even in short edits. This meme sound comes from Bone Thugs-N-Harmony’s song '1st of tha Month,' released in 1995. Online, the opening 'wake up' section became a reusable audio for monthly memes, especially on short-form video platforms and repost pages. It spread because the lyric cleanly matches a very specific moment: the first day of a new month. Creators still use it for payday jokes, rent reminders, and reset content, much like aw Shit here we go again is used for inevitable recurring situations.
