A short fan-made game meme clip riffing on Sans from Undertale as a default character. People use it in ironic gaming edits and character joke videos.

This clip is a short gaming meme sound built around the idea of Sans being turned into a default, low-effort or basic version of himself. The joke lands because Sans is normally treated as a recognisable, powerful character, so recasting him as a generic default creates instant irony. It works well in edits that show a dramatic downgrade, a goofy skin swap or a character losing all their usual aura. The sound has a playful, parody feel that makes even a simple visual punchline feel more absurd and self-aware.

The title clearly points to Sans, the skeleton character from Undertale, mixed with the gaming idea of a default character or skin. The exact original edit behind this upload is unclear, but sounds like this spread through meme pages, short edits and soundboards because the contrast is easy to understand instantly. It fits the same ironic gaming humor as the default dance, where familiar characters are dropped into generic or embarrassing situations. That quick contrast is why the joke keeps getting reused.

Is this sound from Undertale?

It references Sans, who is from Undertale, but this specific clip appears to be a meme edit rather than an official game sound. The joke comes from combining Undertale recognition with default-character humor.
