The clipped Dr. Eggman line from SnapCube's Sonic Adventure 2 fandub, used in memes, absurd reaction edits and dramatic joke captions.

This sound is the short, deadpan line "I miss my wife, Tails" from the viral Dr. Eggman speech in SnapCube's Sonic Adventure 2 parody fandub. The delivery is oddly sincere for such a ridiculous setup, which is exactly why it lands so well in edits. In just over a second, it turns a scene from normal to absurdly melodramatic. Creators use it when a joke needs sudden fake sadness, chaotic non sequitur energy, or a familiar meme quote that instantly makes viewers recognize the bit.

This quote comes from SnapCube's Sonic Adventure 2 real-time fandub, uploaded in 2018, where Dr. Eggman delivers a wildly improvised monologue that became one of the internet's most quoted game parody scenes. The "I miss my wife, Tails" section spread widely on YouTube, TikTok and Discord because it is short, instantly recognizable, and easy to drop into reaction edits. It is still used whenever creators want absurd sadness, chaotic villain energy, or a reference to the larger Eggman rant.
