This sound is the iconic caster reaction “Faker, what was that?” delivered in disbelief after a top-tier League of Legends outplay. The clip is short, sharp and excited, with that rising tone people instantly recognise from esports highlights. It lands best when someone pulls off a move that looks impossible, absurdly clean or way better than expected. Because the line sounds both impressed and stunned, it adds hype without needing a long buildup, making even a small gameplay moment feel legendary or meme-worthy.

The phrase became famous through League of Legends esports after a legendary play by Faker in a professional match, followed by a shocked caster call that turned into a meme. It spread far beyond the original broadcast because the line perfectly captures disbelief at elite mechanics. Over time, creators started using it for any outrageous outplay, not just MOBA clips. It still shows up in gaming edits, streamer compilations and reaction memes whenever someone does something unexpectedly skillful.
