The red light, green light alert sound from Crab Game, used in gaming edits, fail clips and tense freeze moments when someone gets caught moving.

This short clip is the warning sound associated with the Red Light, Green Light minigame in Crab Game. It has a sharp, recognisable game-show style cue that instantly signals danger and a need to stop. In edits, it creates a quick burst of tension, then a comic payoff when someone moves at the wrong time, gets exposed, or freezes too late. Because the sound is so brief, creators often use it as a fast interruption that makes a video feel suddenly strict, suspenseful, or awkward in a funny way.

This sound is associated with Crab Game, the multiplayer party game released in 2021 that parodies survival challenges popularized by Squid Game. The Red Light, Green Light round quickly became one of the most clipped parts of the game, so its warning cue spread into short edits, livestream highlights, and meme compilations. People still use it because the reference is immediate for many gamers, and the stop-now feeling works well even outside gameplay whenever a video needs a sudden rule-check or caught-in-the-act moment.
