Over

The infamous metallic Berserk clang meme sound, known from the 2016 Berserk anime. People use it for sudden impact edits, bad CGI jokes, and anime meme cuts.

This sound is the short, harsh metallic clang tied to the 2016 Berserk anime adaptation. It hits like a cheap sword impact: bright, hollow, abrupt, and a little awkward, which is exactly why it became memorable online. Instead of sounding powerful or weighty, it lands with a stiff, almost comedic ring that can make a dramatic moment feel unintentionally funny. In edits, that contrast is the whole appeal. Creators use it to punctuate failed hype, clumsy action, or any clip where a big moment deserves a deliberately underwhelming hit.

The Berserk clang became widely recognized through the 2016 Berserk anime, where its sword hit sound drew heavy online attention and criticism. Fans clipped the effect and shared it across YouTube, TikTok, and meme compilations as shorthand for weak impact audio or unintentionally funny action. Its staying power comes from that contrast: Berserk is known for brutal, weighty combat, so the thin metallic hit stood out even more. It is often referenced alongside other anime meme sounds such as To be Continued when editors want a familiar joke cue.
