이 사운드에 대하여

The eerie Witch crying sound from Left 4 Dead 2, used in horror edits, gaming memes, and tense clips to signal danger before a sudden scare.

This sound is the unsettling cry of the Witch enemy from Left 4 Dead 2. It starts as a soft, grief-filled sob and carries a strained, haunted tone that instantly makes a scene feel unsafe. Players recognize it as the warning that something deadly is nearby, even before anything happens on screen. In edits and memes, the audio works as a dread cue: it tells viewers to expect panic, a jump scare, or a chaotic mistake right after the crying starts.

The sound comes from Left 4 Dead 2, Valve's 2009 co-op zombie game, where the Witch is a special infected known for crying before she is disturbed. That audio became memorable because players learn to freeze or change route as soon as they hear it. Outside the game, the cry spread through horror montages, streamer edits, and gaming memes as a fast way to signal danger, fear, or a bad decision that is about to trigger chaos.
