The viral clip of a spotter yelling 'Put it in reverse, Terry' while Terry struggles to back up a truck. Perfect for reversing fails and backwards moments.

This ten-second clip captures a spotter's increasingly frantic voice shouting 'Put it in reverse, Terry!' as Terry fumbles to back a truck into a tight spot. The comedy comes from the escalating panic, the repetition of the command, and the sense that Terry is doing the exact opposite of what he is told. It lands as pure schadenfreude: everyone has watched someone botch a simple reverse. Creators drop it over parking disasters, gaming fails, and any moment where a plan starts moving backwards instead of forwards.

The line comes from a viral video of a man spotting for Terry, who is struggling to reverse a truck into a parking spot while being shouted at. The clip's escalating frustration made it a natural reaction sound, and it spread across YouTube compilations, meme pages, and soundboards where users grab short quotable moments. Years later it still surfaces whenever someone is going the wrong way, literally or figuratively, because the specific, exasperated delivery is instantly funnier than a generic fail horn.
