Gianni Infantino saying today I feel gay and a migrant worker from his 2022 World Cup speech in Qatar, used for ironic empathy memes online.

This clip cuts together two lines from FIFA president Gianni Infantino, delivered in a slow, earnest tone during a press conference. He lists identities one by one, trying to sound deeply empathetic, but the phrasing lands as awkward and over the top. The contrast between his serious delivery and the unusual wording is what makes it funny. Heard out of context, it sounds like a dramatic declaration of solidarity that can fit almost any situation, which is why the moment quickly became a reaction sound rather than a straightforward quote from a sports official.

Gianni Infantino gave the speech on 19 November 2022 in Doha, the day before the Qatar World Cup, while defending the hosts against criticism over LGBTQ rights and migrant workers. His hour long monologue listed group after group, and short clips spread on social media as a template for mock solidarity. The list format was copied into captions and edits, with people inserting their own groups for comic effect, and the original lines remain the most shared version years later because the delivery still sounds unintentionally absurd.
