Andy Samberg's shouted line from The Lonely Island's comedy song Threw It on the Ground, used for rejection, defiance, and absurd reaction edits.

This clip captures Andy Samberg’s forceful delivery of the phrase “I threw it on the ground” from The Lonely Island’s comedy song. His exaggerated anger, sharp rhythm, and confrontational tone turn a simple action into a ridiculous act of rebellion. The vocal is backed by the song’s driving beat, giving the moment extra punch and making it easy to cut into videos. It creates an immediate comic payoff, especially when paired with unwanted gifts, bad suggestions, failed plans, or objects being dramatically discarded.

Threw It on the Ground originated as a 2009 comedy song and music video by The Lonely Island, performed by Andy Samberg. The video appeared as a Saturday Night Live Digital Short and follows an angry character who treats ordinary offers as attempts to control him. The song was later included on the group’s 2011 album Turtleneck & Chain. Its blunt refrain and visual slapstick spread widely through online sharing, reaction videos, remixes, and captions, keeping the phrase recognizable as a joke about exaggerated rejection.
