Shimakaze sound effect from Kantai Collection, featuring the fast destroyer girl's short voice line used in anime edits, gaming clips and soundboards.

This short clip features Shimakaze, the high-speed destroyer personified as an energetic anime girl in Kantai Collection. Her voice is bright, quick and cheerful, delivered in a single burst that lasts just over a second. The brevity is part of the appeal, giving the line a punchy, excited energy that instantly reads as cute and confident. Listeners familiar with the character recognise her restless speed-obsessed personality in the tone alone. It works as an instant reaction, adding a flash of anime charm and momentum to a scene without needing any visual context or explanation.

Shimakaze takes her name from the Imperial Japanese Navy destroyer Shimakaze, launched in 1942 and famed for her exceptional speed during sea trials. She was reimagined as a fleet girl in Kantai Collection, the Japanese browser game released in 2013, and later appeared in its 2015 television anime. Her energetic personality and speed made her one of the game's most recognisable characters. Short voice clips of her spread through anime communities, gaming videos and soundboards, where fans reuse them as quick reactions and character callouts long after release.
