이 사운드에 대하여

A harsh concrete scraping sound tied to SCP-173 horror memes and fan edits, used to signal sudden movement, danger, or an unnerving jump scare moment.

This clip is a rough, grinding scrape that sounds like heavy concrete dragging or shifting across a hard surface. It fits the unsettling image of SCP-173, the statue-like creature from SCP lore that moves when nobody is looking. The sound feels abrupt, weighty, and mechanical, which makes a scene instantly tenser. Creators use it to sell the idea of something large closing in offscreen, or to punctuate a quick cut where a creepy figure appears. Even on its own, it gives a viewer that uneasy sense that something is suddenly much closer.

SCP-173 is one of the most recognizable characters from the SCP Foundation, a collaborative online horror fiction project that began in the late 2000s. Sounds like this concrete grind are commonly used in fan videos, gaming clips, and meme edits to represent its sudden movement and heavy, statue-like presence. The effect remains popular because it communicates danger immediately, even without showing the creature. It also overlaps with the broader language of horror sound design, much like a scream meme or other abrupt stinger effects used for shock cuts.
