The catchy repeated chorus from Kaiser Chiefs' 2007 indie rock hit Ruby, used for loud singalong edits, sports clips and nostalgic meme posts.

This clip captures the instantly recognisable chorus of Ruby by Kaiser Chiefs, built around the name Ruby repeated four times in a rising, singalong chant. The guitars are bright and urgent, the drums drive straight ahead, and the vocal hook is simple enough that anyone can join in after one listen. It feels upbeat, a little cheeky, and proudly nostalgic for mid-2000s indie rock. Dropping it into a video instantly turns a name reveal, a celebration or an ordinary moment into a big, crowd-style singalong that viewers will keep humming afterwards.

Ruby was released in 2007 by the Leeds indie rock band Kaiser Chiefs as a single from their second album Yours Truly, Angry Mob. It became their biggest hit, reaching number one in the UK and charting across Europe, helped by its simple repeated chorus that worked on radio, at festivals and in football grounds. The rugby mislabel comes from how close Ruby sounds to rugby, turning the chorus into a pun for sports edits. Years later the hook still appears in nostalgic playlists, singalong videos and meme posts celebrating anyone named Ruby.
