The famous I get knocked down chorus from Tubthumping by Chumbawamba, used for rugby comebacks, sports fails and getting back up again moments.

This clip is the anthemic chorus of Tubthumping by Chumbawamba, built around the repeated line about getting knocked down and getting up again. A group vocal shouts the hook over driving drums and guitars, giving it a rowdy, pub singalong energy that feels defiant rather than defeated. At around nineteen seconds it captures a full surge of that resilience, making a fall or heavy tackle sound like the start of a comeback. Listeners instantly read it as stubborn, funny determination, which is why it lands so well over clips of someone taking a hit and carrying on.

Tubthumping was released in 1997 by the British band Chumbawamba and became their biggest international hit, reaching the top of charts in several countries. Its chorus, built around getting knocked down and getting up again, turned a drinking song into a universal resilience anthem. It was widely adopted at sporting events and in films and television, and its hook later became a staple of rugby and other sports edits online, where the contrast between a heavy knock and the cheerful singalong makes the recovery feel triumphant.
