Nadine saying ekelhaft in a disgusted voice, a short German meme clip used as a reaction to gross, cringe or unpleasant moments in videos and streams.

Nadine's short ekelhaft clip is a single disgusted outburst, delivered in German with a sharp, almost gagging tone that makes the revulsion feel immediate and theatrical. The word itself means disgusting, and the way it is stretched and spat out turns a simple judgement into a punchline. It lands best as a snap reaction, cutting through a scene just as something gross, awkward or unexpectedly bad appears on screen. Because it is only a few seconds long, it does not explain itself, it simply judges, leaving the audience to laugh at the timing and the shared feeling of disgust.

Ekelhaft is a German word for disgusting, and this short Nadine clip circulates online mainly as a meme reaction rather than as a scene from a widely known film or show. Its appeal comes from how instantly readable it is, even for viewers who do not speak German, because the tone alone signals revulsion. Creators reuse it in short videos, streams and reaction edits whenever they want a quick, exaggerated judgement without adding commentary, which has kept the phrase searchable as a standalone meme sound.

What does ekelhaft mean?

Ekelhaft is German for disgusting or revolting. In this clip, Nadine says it with a strong tone of revulsion, so it works as a reaction to something gross, unpleasant or cringe, even if the listener does not understand German.

Why is the Nadine ekelhaft sound so popular online?

It is short, instantly recognisable and emotionally clear. The disgusted delivery needs no explanation, so creators can drop it over gross moments, bad takes or cringe clips and let the reaction carry the joke.

How can I use the ekelhaft sound in a video?

Place it immediately after the gross or awkward moment appears, keep the original volume clear, and cut shortly after it ends. It works best once per clip as a sharp reaction, rather than repeated throughout a longer edit.
