이 사운드에 대하여

A short clip of the famous sung line from R. Kelly's 1993 song "Bump n' Grind," used in memes and edits about temptation, bad ideas, or guilty reactions.

This sound is the instantly recognisable sung line, “my mind's telling me no,” delivered in a smooth R&B style from the start of a well-known 1990s song. The clip has a dramatic, conflicted tone that lands somewhere between sincerity and comedy, which is why it works so well in memes. People use it when a person knows something is a bad idea but clearly wants to do it anyway. Even as a very short audio bite, it adds hesitation, inner struggle and a playful sense of self-awareness to a scene.

This line comes from “Bump n' Grind,” a 1993 song by R. Kelly. Online, the opening lyric became a standalone reaction sound because it neatly captures inner conflict in just a few words. It spread through short comedy edits, reaction videos and meme compilations, where creators use it to signal temptation, hesitation or a decision that is obviously about to go wrong. Its staying power comes from how quickly the lyric sets up a joke without needing extra context.
