Morgana's Japanese muhaha laugh from Persona 5, a short smug chuckle creators drop for evil plans, pranks and playful villain moments in edits.

Morgana's muhaha is a brief, high-pitched villain laugh delivered in the Japanese dub of Persona 5, lasting just over a second and a half. The sound is playful rather than threatening, with a drawn-out mu and a quick burst of ha-ha that makes the character sound smug, mischievous and very pleased with himself. It lands like a tiny evil reveal in audio form. Viewers instantly read it as cheeky confidence, which is why a single play can turn an ordinary moment into a joke about scheming, teasing or getting away with something.

The clip comes from Persona 5, the Atlus role-playing game first released in Japan in 2016, where Morgana is a cat-like member of the Phantom Thieves who guides the protagonist. This version uses the Japanese voice performance, noted by fans for its sharper, more theatrical laugh. Short Morgana reaction sounds spread through gameplay videos, walkthroughs and anime fan edits, where brief character laughs are easy to lift and reuse. The muhaha survived because it is instantly recognisable, needs no context, and works for both genuine Persona fans and general meme edits.

What is the Morgana muhaha sound?

It is a 1.6 second clip of Morgana laughing in Japanese in Persona 5. The playful muhaha sounds smug and mischievous rather than scary, so creators use it as a quick reaction for pranks, schemes and cheeky villain moments.

Where does the Morgana muhaha laugh come from?

The sound comes from Persona 5 gameplay using the Japanese dub with English subtitles. Morgana is the cat-like Phantom Thief who acts as the team's guide, and this short laugh is lifted from his in-game voice lines during story scenes.

How do people use the Morgana muhaha sound?

Creators place it at the exact moment a plan is revealed, a prank lands or a character acts pleased with themselves. It works best unaccompanied and played once, letting the short laugh punctuate the joke without extra dialogue or music.
