A short kha-tfu spit sound effect, a sharp exhale followed by a wet spitting noise used in memes and edits to show disgust, rejection or comic contempt.

The clip lasts under a second and opens with a sharp, throaty ha before snapping into a wet tfu, like someone spitting in disgust. There is no speech, music, or background noise, just that single abrupt gesture, which makes it land instantly. It feels rude, dismissive, and deliberately over the top, so viewers read it as contempt rather than a realistic bodily sound. Because the noise is so short and exaggerated, it works as a punchline by itself, cutting through dialogue or music without needing any explanation.

The exact origin of this short spit clip is not clearly documented, so it is best understood as a soundboard reaction rather than a line from a film or show. It circulates among short reaction noises that let editors answer something unpleasant without words, in the same family as Eww brother eww. Its appeal is its brevity: the sound is instantly recognisable as disgust, needs no translation, and can be dropped into memes, gaming videos, and reaction edits whenever a creator wants a fast, wordless rejection.

What is the Kha Tfu sound?

It is a very short spit sound effect that starts with a throaty ha and ends with a wet tfu. It contains no words or music and is used as a wordless way to show disgust, dismissal, or comic contempt in videos.

Where does the Kha Tfu sound come from?

Its exact source is not clearly documented, so it should not be attributed to a specific film, character, or show. It circulates as a short reaction clip on soundboards, where editors use it for a quick, wordless expression of disgust.

How do creators use the Kha Tfu sound effect?

Creators usually place it immediately after something gross, disappointing, or embarrassing, then cut away quickly. It works best once, at full impact, paired with a reaction face or a sudden zoom rather than repeated.
