이 사운드에 대하여

The iconic T. rex roar sound effect from Jurassic Park, used to add prehistoric menace, dramatic reveals, and larger-than-life impact to videos.

This sound captures the deep, earth-shaking roar associated with the Tyrannosaurus rex in Jurassic Park. It begins with a forceful growl and expands into a harsh, sustained bellow that suggests an enormous predator nearby. The layered animal qualities make the creature feel powerful without sounding like any single living species. In edits, the roar instantly creates danger, scale, and prehistoric drama. It can turn an ordinary entrance into a monster reveal or give an exaggerated reaction the destructive weight of a charging dinosaur.

The sound is based on the Tyrannosaurus rex roar heard in Steven Spielberg’s 1993 film Jurassic Park. Sound designer Gary Rydstrom developed the dinosaur’s vocal identity by combining and manipulating recordings from several real animals, creating a voice for a creature whose actual sound is unknown. The result became one of cinema’s most recognizable creature effects. Its enormous scale and aggressive texture helped it spread beyond the movie into trailers, fan edits, gaming videos, reaction clips, and dinosaur-themed posts, where it still signals an approaching threat.
