The sharp trap snap from Friday the 13th: The Game, used when Jason Voorhees sets a snare to catch counselors in horror gameplay edits and memes.

This is the short, metallic snap of a trap being set or triggered by Jason Voorhees in Friday the 13th: The Game. In just over a second, a sharp clank and a tense mechanical click cut through the silence, instantly signalling danger for any counselor nearby. It does not need dialogue or music to work, because the sound alone tells the listener that Jason is close and a trap is ready. For viewers, that brief metallic bite creates a jolt of suspense, followed by a nervous laugh when the trap actually catches someone, making it perfect for jump-scare edits, horror reactions and tense gameplay moments.

Friday the 13th: The Game, released in 2017, lets one player control Jason Voorhees while other players try to escape Camp Crystal Lake as counselors. Bear traps are one of Jason's tools for slowing and injuring those counselors, so the trap sound became a familiar audio cue for players who heard it while hiding or running. Clips from gameplay were later shared online and reused in horror edits, reaction videos and memes, where the short, recognisable snap still signals that danger is already set before the chase begins.
