The classic "I like trains" clip from asdfmovie, used as a sudden cutaway joke when something random, dark or absurd is about to happen.

This sound is the famous deadpan “I like trains” line followed by the abrupt train gag from the asdfmovie series. It has a calm, almost harmless delivery that instantly flips into chaos, which is why it lands so well in edits. The humor comes from the contrast between the simple statement and the violent, unexpected payoff people already know is coming. In videos, it works as a fast absurdist punchline that turns an ordinary moment into a dark, silly interruption with almost no setup needed.

The line comes from TomSka’s asdfmovie cartoons on YouTube, where the “I like trains” character became one of the series’ most quoted recurring bits. The joke spread widely through meme edits, reaction videos, GIF captions, and short-form remixes because the setup is so short and instantly recognizable. It still shows up in internet humor as a quick way to signal random, dark, and sudden escalation, much like other classic abrupt punchline sounds such as the RUN vine.
