이 사운드에 대하여

A high-pitched 10,000 Hz test tone often used in prank clips, hearing checks, and age jokes when someone wants to see who can still hear it.

This sound is a sustained 10,000 Hz sine-like tone with a very high, piercing pitch. It is not melodic or rhythmic, just a steady electronic whine that sits near the upper end of human hearing for many people. Because of that, it can feel sharp, annoying, or even completely inaudible depending on the listener and their speakers. In videos and group chats, it is usually used as a prank, a hearing test joke, or a way to make a moment suddenly uncomfortable and funny for anyone who can hear it.

10,000 Hz refers to the frequency of the tone, not a character or quote from a film or show. Sounds like this have circulated online for years in hearing test videos, prank uploads, and audio comparison posts because many listeners perceive them differently based on age, hearing, and playback devices. That simple idea helped the clip spread: one person hears an unbearable whine while another hears almost nothing. It remains popular because it is easy to understand instantly and creates real reactions without any extra context.

자주 묻는 질문

What is the 10,000 Hz sound?

It is a pure high-frequency tone set around 10 kilohertz. People use it as a hearing test style clip, a prank sound, or a meme about who can still hear very high pitches.

Why can some people barely hear this tone?

Very high frequencies are harder to hear for many listeners, especially with age, hearing differences, or limited phone and laptop speakers. That is why this sound often gets used in jokes comparing who reacts and who hears nothing.

How do creators usually use a 10,000 Hz tone in videos?

Creators often place it after a calm intro, a fake audio test, or a text setup about age and hearing. The humor comes from the abrupt, uncomfortable pitch and the visible reaction from anyone who can hear it clearly.
