The 'Up the Wahs' crowd chant from New Zealand Warriors rugby league fans. A loud stadium hype sound for game-day edits, Kiwi sports memes and victory posts.

The clip is a roaring stadium chant of New Zealand Warriors fans bellowing 'Up the Wahs' in unison. It opens with a rolling wave of voices that quickly locks into a rhythmic, almost hypnotic chant, layered with clapping, whistling and the echo of a packed stand. The energy is pure tribal joy, part football terraces, part festival crowd, and it makes any highlight feel like a championship moment. Drop it under a replay and even a routine play sounds like destiny.

'Up the Wahs' is the rallying cry of the New Zealand Warriors, the Auckland club in Australia's National Rugby League. The chant went viral during the club's surprise 2023 finals run, when sold-out stadiums turned it into the soundtrack of the season and TikTok clips carried it far beyond rugby league. Like Cristiano Ronaldo's Suuuuuuuuuuuuu, it became a portable sports meme that any Kiwi fan can drop into an edit. Creators now pair it with crowd cheering beds or a quick victory fanfare to fake a packed stadium in seconds.
