このサウンドについて

The dramatic shooting sketch from Saturday Night Live's Dear Sister, famous for the Imogen Heap music cue in slow-motion reaction memes.

This clip is the over-the-top shooting sequence from the Saturday Night Live digital short often called Dear Sister. It features repeated gunshots, long slow-motion reaction shots, and the instantly recognizable "Mmm Whatcha Say" section of Imogen Heap's song "Hide and Seek." The pacing makes every hit feel absurdly dramatic, turning a serious TV trope into a punchline. Viewers know it as a classic escalation meme, where each new shot resets the joke and makes the scene funnier through repetition, surprise, and exaggerated melodrama.

Dear Sister is a Saturday Night Live digital short that aired in 2007, created as a parody of melodramatic teen TV scenes, especially The O.C. The sketch became widely known online for pairing repeated shootings with Imogen Heap's "Hide and Seek" and its "Mmm whatcha say" hook. It spread through video remixes, reaction edits, and compilation culture because the structure is easy to recreate: a shock moment, a slow-motion look, and the song cue. It remains a shorthand for exaggerated, ironic tragedy in meme editing.
