A Toyota Supra Mk4 engine revving with a deep exhaust note and turbo whistle, used in car edits, racing videos and memes for dramatic pull-aways.

This clip captures the unmistakable sound of a Toyota Supra Mk4 under throttle, opening with a low, throaty idle before building into a sharp, rising rev and a high-pitched turbo whistle as the engine climbs through the gears. The exhaust is deep and aggressive without sounding muddy, giving each pull a sense of raw power and speed. It works instantly for listeners who know car culture, because the Mk4 has become a shorthand for street racing and tuning, and even for casual viewers the rising pitch creates tension and excitement before a reveal, a race start, or a fast cut.

The Toyota Supra Mk4, known as the A80, is one of the most recognisable Japanese sports cars of the 1990s, famous among tuners for its strong inline-six engine and huge modification potential. Its distinctive turbocharged exhaust note has become a signature sound in online car culture, shared in edits, racing montages and reaction videos long after production ended. That familiarity is why the rev still works today: listeners recognise the car before they see it, and the sound immediately signals speed, tuning culture and street-racing energy.
