The famous Seven Nation Army riff by The White Stripes, turned into a stadium chant at rugby and football matches and used for big hype edits.

This clip captures the instantly recognisable seven-note guitar riff from Seven Nation Army, played with a thick, driving distortion that builds like a crowd warming up before kick-off. It is short, punchy and deliberately repetitive, so it lands as a chant rather than a full song, with each note hitting harder than the last and leaving space for a crowd to join in. That simple, anthemic shape is why it feels triumphant and a little menacing at the same time, turning an ordinary highlight, entrance or reveal into something that sounds like a stadium already roaring behind it.

Seven Nation Army was released by The White Stripes in 2003 as the opening track on Elephant, and its seven-note riff soon escaped the record itself. Fans at football and rugby grounds began chanting the notes in unison, turning a rock hook into a wordless terrace anthem that needs no lyrics to be recognised. That crowd cheering tradition spread across Europe and beyond, carried by television coverage and fan videos, and it remains a shorthand for anticipation, dominance and home support in sports edits today.

What is the Seven Nation Army stadium chant sound?

It is the seven-note guitar riff from The White Stripes song Seven Nation Army, trimmed to the part sports crowds chant in unison at matches. It works as a short, wordless anthem rather than a full song excerpt.

How can I use this sound in a video?

Use it to build tension before a reveal, a team entrance or a winning moment, then cut it sharply for impact. It suits sports highlights, reaction edits and hype montages, but works best in short bursts.
