Alan's sinister evil laugh sound effect, ideal for villain moments, prank reveals and meme edits. A 16-second menacing chuckle dropped into funny videos.

This is a classic evil laugh performed by Alan, delivered as a slow, sinister chuckle that builds into full villainous cackling over sixteen seconds. The laugh has a theatrical, over-the-top quality, part horror-movie menace and part cartoon scheming, which makes it instantly recognisable as the sound of someone up to no good. Creators love it because it lands a punchline on its own: drop it after a reveal or a twist and the audience immediately reads the moment as mischievous or diabolical, even when nothing sinister is actually happening on screen.

The exact origin of this clip is undocumented, and it circulates on user-run soundboards under the label 'Risada Maligna Alan (EDGE)', which is Portuguese for 'Alan's evil laugh'. Like many reaction sounds, it gained traction simply because it is a clean, expressive take on the classic villain laugh, a trope that works across prank videos, meme edits and gaming highlights. Its sixteen-second length gives editors room to use just the opening chuckle or the full cackling payoff, which is why it keeps appearing in reaction compilations and shareable meme audios.

What is the Risada Maligna Alan sound?

It is a sixteen-second evil laugh performed by someone named Alan, shared on soundboards as a meme reaction clip. The laugh starts as a low chuckle and builds into theatrical villainous cackling, which is why creators use it for prank reveals and mischievous moments.

Where did Alan's evil laugh come from?

The precise origin is unknown; it circulates on user-generated soundboards with a Portuguese label meaning 'Alan's evil laugh'. It spread the way most reaction sounds do, by being expressive, reusable and easy to drop under a punchline.

How can I use this evil laugh in a video?

Play it right after a reveal, plot twist or prank so the laugh reads as the reaction. It works best as a short sting: use the opening chuckle for subtle mischief or the full cackle for a dramatic villain moment, and keep it clear of dialogue.
