このサウンドについて

A looping 'one of us' chant used in memes and edits when someone joins the group, gets converted, or suddenly fits the same weird vibe.

This clip is a short crowd-style chant repeating “one of us” in a hypnotic, slightly eerie rhythm. It has the feel of a group welcoming someone in while also making the moment sound cultish, ironic, or playfully unsettling. In edits, that repetition instantly turns a normal reveal into a joke about belonging, conformity, or getting pulled into the same obsession as everyone else. The sound works best when a person copies the group, adopts the same opinion, or accidentally proves they were part of the club all along.

The phrase “one of us” is widely associated with the chant from the 1932 film Freaks, where it is used in a famous initiation scene. Online, the repeated chant became a flexible meme sound for moments of acceptance, assimilation, or ironic groupthink. It spread through short-form edits, reaction memes, and gaming clips because the meaning is instantly clear even without context. Creators still use it when someone adopts the same habit, opinion, or fandom as everyone else.
