This is Charlotte Hornets announcer Eric Collins delivering his signature oh my goodness call in a burst of pure disbelief. His voice jumps in pitch and volume, stretching the phrase with the frantic energy that made his broadcasts go viral. It is not a calm reaction but an over the top explosion that makes an ordinary play feel historic. Listeners instantly hear shock, joy and amazement packed into a second and a half, which is why the clip lands so hard even without any video attached to it.

Eric Collins became the Charlotte Hornets television play by play announcer in 2015, but his calls exploded nationally during the 2020 21 season alongside LaMelo Ball highlights. Clips of his screaming reactions were shared widely on social media, turning phrases like oh my goodness into standalone memes detached from the original games. Fans began using the audio for any shocking moment, sports or not, and his unfiltered enthusiasm made him one of the most recognisable voices in modern NBA broadcasting.
