Meet the Mets is the classic New York Mets theme song chorus, used by baseball fans for team intros, wins, highlights and game day posts online.

This short clip captures the famous opening chorus of the New York Mets theme song, with a bright brass band and cheerful group vocals singing the meet the Mets hook. The melody is upbeat, old fashioned and instantly recognisable to baseball fans, built to feel like walking into the ballpark on a sunny game day. At just a few seconds long it works as a quick burst of team pride, lifting the mood and signalling celebration, nostalgia and friendly rivalry whenever it drops into a video or stream.

Meet the Mets was written in 1961 by Ruth Roberts and Bill Katz for the New York Mets expansion season in 1962 and has remained the club anthem ever since. Its simple singalong chorus made it a staple at Shea Stadium and later Citi Field, often paired with crowd cheering on broadcasts and in the stands. The tune has survived decades of remixes, organ versions and fan videos, staying popular because any Mets fan can recognise and join in within the first few notes.
