The Masters golf theme song is the calm piano-led instrumental played during tournament coverage each spring, often used for elegant, quiet sports moments.

This is the gentle instrumental theme instantly linked to the Masters Tournament at Augusta National, built around soft piano and warm strings. It moves slowly and quietly, with no lyrics or sharp hits, creating a calm and reverent mood. Hearing it signals tradition, prestige and the start of spring golf. The restraint is the point, letting the music sit under commentary without competing for attention, while still making any scene feel more polished, serious and quietly dramatic than it would on its own.

The music is Augusta, written by singer songwriter Dave Loggins in 1981 after his first visit to Augusta National Golf Club. CBS adopted it as the theme for its Masters Tournament broadcasts, and its piano arrangement has opened coverage ever since. Unlike louder sports anthems, it became famous for its quiet dignity, which is why clips of the theme now circulate online for golf edits, respectful tributes and gentle parodies of overly grand entrances.
