このサウンドについて

A brief voice clip exclaiming “Macavity,” the mystery cat from Cats, used by creators for dramatic reveals, sudden entrances, and theatrical reaction edits.

This compact voice clip consists of an emphatic call of “Macavity,” the name of the elusive feline character associated with Cats. Its short length and sudden delivery give it the feeling of an announcement, accusation, or dramatic discovery. The theatrical tone can turn an ordinary entrance into a character reveal or add playful suspicion when someone appears unexpectedly. Because the name is delivered on its own, the clip also works as a quick punchline for viewers familiar with Macavity, while remaining an amusingly dramatic interruption for everyone else.

Macavity is the mysterious criminal cat described in T. S. Eliot’s 1939 poetry collection Old Possum’s Book of Practical Cats. The character later appeared in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s musical Cats, which opened in London in 1981 and includes the song “Macavity: The Mystery Cat.” The precise recording source of this short clip is not identified, so it is best understood as a brief reference to the character. Online, the emphatic name call remains useful for cat jokes, mock accusations, entrances, and theatrical reveal edits.
