このサウンドについて

A spoken Ligma Balls meme clip from the internet bait-and-switch joke, used in prank edits, reaction videos and punchline reveals.

This sound is a short spoken delivery of the phrase “ligma balls,” the payoff to an internet bait-and-switch joke. The humor comes from setting up a fake serious question, then cutting to the line as the reveal. It has a blunt, juvenile tone that makes it land best as a sudden punchline rather than background audio. In edits, it usually works as a hard interrupt that flips the mood from normal conversation to silly, lowbrow meme humor in a single beat.

Ligma is an internet bait-and-switch joke that became widely recognizable online in the late 2010s. The format relies on someone asking what “ligma” is, or using a setup like “Who’s Steve Jobs?”, so the response can deliver the punchline. Clips of people saying “ligma balls” spread across meme pages, short videos and soundboards because the joke is quick, recognizable and easy to drop into edits. It remains popular as a deliberately immature punchline and as part of broader goofy ahh sounds culture.
