A pumped-up voice shouts 'LFGM' — the New York Mets fans' profane rallying cry. Creators use it for hype edits, game-winning moments and sports highlights.

This three-second clip captures a raw, full-throated shout of 'LFGM' — the battle cry of New York Mets fans, short for a very profane version of 'let's go, Mets.' The voice is loud, hoarse and bursting with energy, the kind of yell you hear from the stands after a walk-off homer. It lands like an instant adrenaline shot, turning any clip into a moment of pure triumph. Creators use it to punctuate victories, hype up a play or mock-celebrate something absurd, because the delivery is so over-the-top it works even when the 'win' is completely ridiculous.

LFGM is short for the New York Mets fans' profane rallying cry, 'let's f***ing go, Mets,' which took off among the fanbase in the late 2010s and spread through social media, t-shirts and ballpark chants. What started as dugout and clubhouse energy became a full fan identity — a defiant, joyful roar for a team famous for dramatic highs and lows. The three-second shout format is built for short-form video, where it now soundtracks everything from actual baseball highlights to sarcastic celebrations of trivial wins, keeping the phrase alive far beyond Citi Field.

What does LFGM mean?

LFGM stands for 'let's f***ing go, Mets' — the profane rallying cry of New York Mets baseball fans. It is shouted after big plays and wins, and the three-second clip captures that raw stadium energy for use in videos and memes.

Where did the LFGM chant come from?

LFGM grew out of New York Mets fandom in the late 2010s, spreading through social media, fan merchandise and ballpark chants. It became a badge of identity for Mets supporters, who are known for their passionate, long-suffering loyalty to the team.

How do creators use the LFGM sound?

Creators drop the shout at the exact moment of a win — a walk-off homer, a buzzer-beater or a gaming clutch — and also use it ironically over tiny everyday victories. Lower the background audio under it so the yell hits at full volume.
