The iconic You're killing me, Smalls line from The Sandlot, spoken in exasperated disbelief when a friend says something obvious or embarrassing.

The clip is a single exasperated line delivered with comic frustration, the voice rising on 'killing' before dropping into a weary, almost pleading 'Smalls' that lands like a punchline. It lasts just over a second, but the delivery is instantly recognisable to anyone who grew up quoting the film, carrying equal parts disbelief, affection and embarrassment. Played over a fail, a bad take or a painfully obvious mistake, it turns mild secondhand embarrassment into a shared joke, letting the listener laugh at the moment instead of just cringing at it.

The line comes from The Sandlot, the 1993 coming-of-age baseball film, where Ham Porter shouts it at new kid Scotty Smalls after Smalls misunderstands a basic baseball reference. The moment stuck because it captured playground teasing perfectly, affectionate rather than cruel, and fans began quoting it long before soundboards existed. It later spread through reaction videos, sports edits and meme pages, where the short, instantly understood frustration works even for viewers who have never seen the film.
