JonTron says that's not mariachi in his Space Ace episode, reacting to music that fails to sound Mexican. Creators use it to mock a wrong genre choice.

This short clip captures JonTron in full disbelief as he interrupts a scene to declare that the music playing is definitely not mariachi. His voice rises with comic frustration, stretching the words for emphasis and turning a simple correction into a punchline. The delivery is loud, theatrical and instantly recognisable, which makes the moment land even without the original video. It works because the complaint is so specific and so confident, turning a niche musical mismatch into a joke anyone can understand. Listeners hear a creator who cannot believe what he is hearing, and that shared exasperation is what makes the sound so replayable.

The clip comes from JonTron, the comedy gaming show hosted by Jon Jafari, and specifically from his episode on Space Ace, the animated arcade game. In the episode he reacts to a musical cue that he feels does not fit the mariachi style it seems to be aiming for, and his blunt correction became a quotable moment for fans. Shared widely as a short soundboard clip, it is now used far beyond the original review as a quick reaction to any music, theme or attempt that claims one style but sounds like another.
