JonTron hums thoughtfully in this short clip from his YouTube videos. Creators play it over suspicious moments, awkward pauses and fake deep thinking.

The clip is a few seconds of JonTron, the YouTube comedian known for his loud retro game and movie reviews, humming a low, drawn-out 'hmm hmm' like he is turning something over in his mind. His voice dips and rises with mock seriousness, half curious and half suspicious, which makes even a silly on-screen moment feel oddly significant. Dropped into an edit, it works like a thinking bubble you can hear: the audience instantly reads hesitation, doubt or a dawning realization, and the slight comedy in his delivery keeps it light instead of tense.

JonTron, the stage name of YouTuber Jonathan Jafari, built a large audience in the 2010s with loud, theatrical reviews of video games and films. Short reaction clips pulled from his videos, including thoughtful hums and exaggerated double takes, became staples of meme editing because his delivery is so readable. The 'hmm hmm' works as a universal thinking sound, so editors reuse it whenever a character needs a beat of comic suspicion. Its popularity endures because the moment fits almost any awkward pause.
