このサウンドについて

✦ AI

Short voice clip of someone dismissively saying it's nothing, only the smell, used as a deadpan reaction to bad odors, messy rooms and awkward excuses.

This is a brief spoken line delivered in a flat, unbothered tone, as if a terrible smell is barely worth mentioning. The humor comes from the understatement, because the speaker treats something obviously unpleasant as completely normal. The pause and casual phrasing make it feel like a quick excuse caught in the moment. Listeners instantly picture a room, fridge or situation nobody wants to inspect closer. It works as a punchline on its own, cutting tension with dry confidence rather than panic or disgust, which is why the short clip lands so well in edits.

With no clear credited source, this clip circulates online purely for its dismissive delivery and relatable setup. Short reaction lines like this spread through soundboards and reposts because they can be dropped into almost any smelly situation without context. Creators reuse it for fridge cleanouts, bathroom jokes, pet messes and trash reveals, letting the casual excuse do the comedic work. Its staying power comes from that versatility and from how instantly viewers understand the joke, even without knowing who originally recorded the line.

What is the It's Nothing Only The Smell sound?

It is a very short voice clip of a speaker downplaying a bad odor with the line about it being nothing, only the smell. The deadpan understatement is the joke, making an obvious problem sound minor and unimportant.

Where is this sound from?

The original recording and speaker are not clearly credited in the version shared on soundboards. It is mainly known as a standalone reaction clip online, shared for its casual delivery rather than for a specific movie, show or character.

How do people use this sound in videos?

Creators place it after a visual reveal of something smelly, like old food, trash or a messy room. The timing works best with a brief pause before the line, letting viewers register the problem before the speaker dismisses it.
